Physician and Educator

Dr. Crawford is commited to medical education and dedicates countless hours to the instruction and supervision of dermatology residents (the country’s future dermatologists). The dermatology residents at the University of Pennsylvania are among the very best in the country.

By the time a dermatology resident is permitted to rotate in our office, the following training has already taken place: four years of college, four years of medical school, one year of internship, and at least one year of dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Crawford is immensely proud of his role as a teacher. Residents do participate in the care of patients in our practice. Dr. Crawford believes that this only increases the quality of care delivered at the Pennsylvania Centre for Dermatology.

Family Matters

Outside of work, Dr. Crawford spends as much time as possible with his wife Karin, his daughters Emma, Elisabeth, and Alexandra, and their dog Hugger.
